Humanities Forum
Course Overview:
This termly forum is designed to ensure that subject leaders and teachers across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 are kept informed of the latest initiatives and understand best practice. Each session will include a training focus as well as an open forum for discussion.

About Sinead O’Mahoney:
Sinead has been teaching at Biggin Hill Primary School for 6 years, teaching classes across Key Stage 2. As an outstanding teacher, she has led several whole-school initiatives, including using her specialism; teaching through Lego technology. Sinead is passionate about humanities and has led the school’s work in achieving the Primary History Quality Mark.

About Stacey Burman:
Stacey us an experienced teacher and leader and has worked across three Boroughs in both primary and secondary schools. Working with schools, faith communities, charities, museums and organisations, she has developed various projects, resources, initatives and curricula. She is currently working with Bromley Council to revise the statutory RE Syllabus, providing a unique opportunity for members of this forum to help shape Religious Education across the Borough.

ICT across the curriculum
Course Overview:
This one day course will provide class teachers and subject leaders with the opportunity to evaluate how well ICT is currently used across the curriculum within their school. Attendees will be provided with examples of how the use of ICT can be combined with other subjects to promote effective teaching in relation to pupils’ skill, concept and attitude development, as well as enhancing primary teachers’ confidence in the use of ICT in their classroom teaching.

About Tony Rolfe:
Tony Rolfe is a primary teacher and ICT co-ordinator at Warren Road Primary School. He has over 18 years’ experience in ICT and has previously worked with a variety of different organisations within the industry. Tony is passionate about ICT and is keen to help teachers move away from the traditional idea that ICT is limited to a computer suite and ICT lessons.

About Helen Lawlor:
Helen Lawlor is a primary languages practitioner (French/Spainish/Mandarin) with fourteen years of experience in various Beckenham primary schools. Her curriculum/progression document was recently praised in an outstanding OFSTED inspection. She has run upskilling courses for Greenwich and has spoken at several Language conferences, particularly on the subject of KS2/KS3 transistion, about which she is very passionate.
